About this resource:
GHD evaluated the feasibility and suitability of two proposed stormwater detainment bund sites on Playnes Farm in the Bay of Plenty. The purpose of the project was to reduce sediment loss and sedimentation of Lake
Tarawera, improve Te Mana o Te Wai, and protect wāhi tapu sites as well as local infrastructure.
The technical memorandum includes:
- Site visit findings
- Summary of identified hydrological and hydraulic gaps and risks
- Assessment of bund feasibility and site suitability
- Summary of potential remedial options including their advantages and disadvantages.
